The Garden

Lugane sits in a 3 acre clearing – our “garden” - in the middle of our 48 acre forest. Therefore, the next neighbours are a minimum of 1 – 2 km away.

The garden has a park-like area with beautiful, old cork oaks. The rest has groups of Linden trees to shade the house and many other types.

You have your own private garden area in front of the gite.

We have a duck pond and chickens as well as a vegetable garden so you can obtain free range corn fed eggs and fresh organic vegetables from us.

Just down a forest path from Lugane is a romantic forest lake which is great for swimming, kayaking or fishing as it is spring fed with fresh, clear water – which is so much more fun and healthier than a chlorine pool. (Swimming only for older children).
